Research and Ideas

Sorry for such a long break between blogs. I'd give an excuse, but there is never really one good enough. Anyway, back to the subject.
I have begun conducting research on information relevant to my project; namely some well known mythical creatures and stories about them and painting techniques. It has also been suggested to me that I take a look at some learning psychology, which would probably be helpful in the essay part of the project, but I am not sure how to go about with that.
In regards to the practical/constructive part of the project; I have decided that one of the myths I will do is a Scandinavian myth, Sigurd and Fafnir (or maybe it's Sigmund and Fafnir; I can never remember). The main antagonist in the story is a dragon, called Fafnir. Fafnir was originally a giant, whose greed for gold turned him into a dragon, so I will mainly focus the artwork around him. In Scandinavian mythology, dragons were the symbol for greed.

Wednesday 12th November

About a week ago, my mum attended a meeting to explain to the parents our personal projects for year 10. Afterwards, she talked about it with me and suggested I do something related to Mythology and Mythological monsters, as that is a subject I show a lot of interest in. I thought that it sounded like a good idea, but I also had to choose an area of interaction to base my project around, and what sort of product I would make to show everyone what I did. I decided to to base my project on the 'approaches to learning' criteria, and to paint pictures of the stories I researched.
